Lighhouse is a cool lttle farm, with pigs, sheep, chickens, cows, and one ornery llama!

Farmer John Mesko, director of the Minnesota Sustainable Farming Association, is dedicated to clean, real food for healthy people, and his farm reflects that in every aspect. From the Lighthouse Farm site:

“Lighthouse Farm in Princeton, MN raises and sells 100% organic, grass-fed beef and lamb, as well as pastured pork and poultry. We make deliveries to the Twin Cities and surrounding area regularly. Open by appointment.

“The Farm we have purchased has been in the Mesko Family since 1961.

“Our historic farm was homesteaded in the late 1800′s and is one of the last remaining in our township.

“With over 100 acres of pasture, we not only understand but are able to meet the needs and requirements for authentic, grass-based meat production.”

A certified organic dairy, Zweber Farms sells their milk to Organic Valley from a herd of just under one hundred. The farm has been in the Zweber family for four generations. More, via LocalHarvest
