ONLINE PETITION: Draft Jim Riddle to the USDA!

Hey, take a minute and sign our online petition:

DRAFT JIM RIDDLE TO THE USDA!

Jim Riddle is a 24-karat choice for the USDA. I don’t care if you’re talking USDA Secretary, the head of Ag Marketing Service, or administering the National Organic Program, Jim Riddle needs to be part of the sustainable farming dialog in the Obama administration’s Department of Agiculture..

 Here are 5  reasons why:

1) Jim is a small organic farmer — he understands the unique opportunity of organics for small and midsized farmers.

2) Jim lives in rural Minnesota where organic farming has helped revitalize the countryside economically.

3) Jim has worked on organic standards intimately for the past two decades. This is a perspective that the USDA desperately needs if it’s going to foster continued organic growth.

4) Jim has served as chair and Executive Committee Member of the USDA’s National Organic Standards Board. He understands how the USDA’s National Organic Program works (and how it sometimes fails).

5) Jim has worked with 19 different State Departments of Agriculture. He’s an experienced hand for the USDA.
